HERE'S AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT YOU'LL GET
MODULE 0: INTRODUCTION + THE SFC METHOD
Before we dive into our art lessons, let’s go over your sketching tools and painting supplies!
You don’t have to buy a bunch of tools and try out different brands because I’ve done all that for you! I’ve been painting for 10+ years and professionally for 7+ years and trust me, the listed tools on my supply list are ALL that you need. MODULE 1: WATERCOLOR BASICS
Never played with watercolor before? No problem!
In this module, I’ll teach you how to best prep your palette, organize your colors and get you ready for painting. We’ll also go over how to paint skin tone! After painting thousands of people, trust me when I say that I’ve painted all types of skin tones. And now, I’ll teach you how to get every shade right so you feel confident painting people.
MODULE 2: FIGURE DRAWING
The sketch before the painting process can really make or break the final artwork, so let’s make sure we understand the figure.
We’ll cover everything from how to position the figure on our paper, differences between male and female figures as well as the proportions for adults, babies, and kids. We’ll also cover different articles of clothing and how to draw the outfit in a way that looks natural on the form. We’ll go over important details like drawing hands, feet, glasses and beards. This module alone is well worth the investment!
MODULE 3: WATERCOLOR PORTRAIT
Now that we have your sketch down, we’ll move onto my favorite part - adding watercolor!
In this module, we will go over skin tone in-depth and learn to add dimension to the body. We’ll also cover how to paint different types of hairstyles as well as facial hair. Finally, I’ll teach you how to paint different types of clothing, how to add natural folds/creases and add contrast so the painting pops out of the page!

One of the questions I get asked the most is “How do you paint white clothing?”

Is this course for beginners or experienced artists?I created this workshop with beginners in mind. However, if you are an experienced artist who wants to brush up on their portrait class, this would work for you as well.

Do I need a webcam or mic?No. Your camera and mics will be turned off in the workshop so you can relax :) You will have access to the chat feature so you can interact throughout the workshop in the chatbox!

How is it different from Watercolor Portrait Course?Think of this virtual workshop as a bite-sized crash course of drawing portraits. We'll cover drawing techniques, proportions, and do a live q&a at the end! On the other hand, Watercolor Portrait Course is a much more comprehensive course where we cover both figure drawing and watercolor painting.
